New to the club.

Postby Bond509 » Tue Mar 21, 2017 4:47 pm

I bought this back in Dec 2016 only 2500 miles so far.... I commute through winter (eww)

Probably the best bike I have owned. Bit sportier than I'd expected. I find the standard sus setup to be a bit skittish. Standard tires work (that's all I'd say about them.)

Has LED+ system /rad grill / Akro / Comfort seat, which is much nicer than the standard plank.(This took some time to bed in.) Still no suitor for a Corbin/sergeant.

I've had some niggles I wondered if anyone knew about. I get a buzzing that started at around 2k miles at 3500rpm. now has gone but started after a particularly vicious rain storm. And most recently a petrol gauge bug.... not lowering with use of petrol, rather alarming when it still shows full but needs £12. Will be going main dealer soon. Anyone else had this/might know a simple fix?

You're adding about 10-10.5 litres of fuel; you'll have done around 100 miles, its here where the first bar drops down, (and takes half of it) from its fuel gauge.

Run longer, there's plenty of miles left in the tank still; 160-180 miles before it would flash for the reserve..

Keep enjoying it

Oh, and the buzz..? hard to say. Specially if it doesn't't appear any more. Get out and ride it instead of worrying ;)

I get 180 miles out of a tank quite comfortably so the first bar will drop around 90-100 miles. I reset a trip clock after each full refuel so not only rely on the fuel gauge. Mine sometimes makes clicking noise but the scorpion exhaust seems to mask all noises.

I manage 200 miles from a tank and I'm not light with the right hand either.
