Just remember its NOT just the engine that need to "bed in" brakes & tyres also need to be treated with "consideration" & even the seat !!! Done properly it will pay dividends in the longer term....be a bit patient & don't expect it to perform "at its best" until AT LEAST the bikes 1st service is done
I managed to keep to under 6000 rpm..in 6th gear that's over 80mph ! More important is DO NOT let the engine labour, ie have in too high a gear with low revs or even too many revs in a low gear ! You will get to know what feels comfortable !
I did it by the book (& instructions from the dealer) That was why I didn't buy the demo, I wanted to know how the bike was treated right from the start. You can guarantee that people riding the demo wouldn't pussy foot around just because the bike's not run in.
