Instrument misting

Postby andrewl » Tue Mar 07, 2017 2:51 pm

Hi,

Had my Tracer 900 since July last year and over the winter I've noticed there is misting inside the instruments. The bike is garaged but can be damp in there. Called into local dealer to see what can be done about it, they would replace the whole display unit under warranty but this will lose the odometer reading as it gets reset to zero. Apparently it affects other MT models. One option which the dealers wont do is to open the unit up and let it dry out, clean inside and re-assemble it. They would just replace it.

Has anyone else experienced this and have you attempted to fix it yourself? I'm not keen on having the odometer reset back to zero.

Cheers

Andrew

Hi,
Not had the problem, if it was me i would go for the new clock set and ask your dealer to record it in your service book,

Cheers
Tim
