Tyres - any advise

Postby brommerz » Tue Apr 26, 2016 2:23 pm

Hi All,
Does anyone have any advise on tyres for the Tracer - I currently have dunlops but would appreciate other riders thoughts ?

Anyone gone from Dunlop to another brand and found them better ?

Many Thanks
Neil

Hi Neil, Michelin Road Pilots are a good tyre, ive been touring the Scottish Highlands plenty of times and obviously the weather can be hit n miss!

Duel compound (last longer) :)
Gives u bags of confidence in the dry and wet,
Let us know what choice you made.

I'm not a big fan of the Dunlop D222's either. I think in the dry they are OK and in the wet, bad.

When these need changing I will be going for Michelin Road Pilot 3 or 4's. Had the 3's previously and they were excellent in all conditions

I put on Michelin PR4's and they are a great tyre in all weathers, but much more confident in the wet. Gave them a good workout on our trip to Switzerland - only thing I didn't try was snow!
