First tour

Postby Snapper41 » Mon May 22, 2017 8:54 am

Hi all;

Just done my first-ever tour. Me and two friends went to the Ardennes, taking in the battlefields of the Bulge. We visited France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, covering 1100 miles in 5 days. The roads in the region are superb - hilly and twisty. The Tracer never missed a beat - here's to the next trip!

Did the Lakes the other weekend, Hardknott , Wrynose and Honiston passes. Despite the wet weather the bike handled well even on rough tracks.

Just done nearly 3000 miles in just over a week to Italy and back, went to Coriano to the Simoncelli 58 memorial then to Tavullia to do the Rossi 46 pilgrimage even bumped into his right hand man Uccio in the bar and got a photo with him :D then home via the Stelvio pass , Austria, Germany, France then home to the uk. The Tracer was spot on only thing I added was an Airhawk ;) Now sat here at work it seems like a distant memory :cry: 8-)

In June I rode from Co.Monaghan in Ireland to Lacroix Barrez in Southern France on my MT-09 Tracer.
I met up with members of the 'Club Kawasaki' who'd travelled from the UK (yes, still a member even though I've changed marque)
We rented a chateau then had ride outs from there.
I covered over 4200 miles in total and the 3 pot Yamaha was superb.
It more than held it's own against the thou Kawasaki's.
One member that came along made a video. I contributed some footage from 12:14 onwards.
