Farewell.....

Postby Builderman5 » Tue Mar 21, 2017 5:13 pm

It has been a wonderful journey but it is time to move on.

I cannot fault the Tracer, it is smooth, reliable, good to look at and does exactly what it says on the tin. You could jump on it tomorrow and travel around the world. My trip to Switzerland was both effortless and enjoyable.

I suppose that is the problem, it doesn't inspire me, it has no quirky character. Now that is not a complaint, it is just that I personally need a bike to have that something different, to be slightly 'left field'.

We are all wired differently.....

I pick up my new bike on Saturday. I wish you all the best with your Tracers and many happy miles of sweeping bends....

Adieu.....

Oi, you can't just jump ship.... without saying what you're jumping onto :)

Good luck out there :)

Sad to see you leave but I know your feeling well. For me I'm focusing on what you've said the bike's good points and will stick to it for at least another 3 years.

What a lucky man you are. The R nineT is quite a looker.

Everyone to their own liking....should've just bought the R nine T from the start if you wanted something different. the Tracer is a good all rounder from my point of view and does what you need, the BMW is just an overpriced retro which at this moment in time are the in thing, a fashion fad, all the makers are doing it, no different when supermotos were the rage except they were excellent around town and fun.

Good luck and all that - funny how opinions differ but the R9T is the polar opposite of the Tracer, the Tracer is a much more exciting bike to ride - are you sure it's not stuck in 'B' mode?!? I test rode the R9T and nearly fell asleep.
