What I have added...

Postby Builderman5 » Sat Oct 10, 2015 1:33 pm

Just thought I'd share what I've added to my bike.

R&G radiator guard.
Extra power socket.
Sidestand extender. A must as I have a gravel drive.
Nelson Rigg tailback. Fits the seat perfectly, like it was made to measure.
SW Motech quick release tank bag. Very useful for wallet, phone, sunglasses, etc.

Next on the list will be a larger screen.

Nice nice nice. I've got plans for fender extender and givi or Yamaha side cases. I've already done the top box and tall screen. Was thinking about akrapovic exhaust but fear the £1k mod will make very little difference.

Update with latest additions...

Givi rack and V40 top box.
Powerbronze fender extender.
Powerbronze beak.
Ermax 50cm screen.

Still to fit my Garmin Zumo 550, but considering where and how to fix it - anyone have any suggestions?

Just purchased off ebay a RAM mounting plate that supposedly fits in between the windscreen and the speedo, and gives me a RAM ball mount just above the speedometer. Seemed like a good idea, but it'll be a while before it arrives and I get to test it though.

The RAM mount arrived this morning, so fitted my Garmin Zumo. It fits under the screen bracket and takes minutes to fit, although the wiring took a bit of head scratching. Luckily the previous owner had left the tails under the fairing. Looked at fitting the Yamaha bracket to the handlebar clamp, but this was too low and would've interfered with the tank bag. Much prefer it just below line of sight. Also fitted V-Trec short levers and Powerbronze handguard extenders, but the rain came so will post some pics later.

Is the Ermax screen effective enough? Was thinking about buying a replacement windscreen or screen extender as I've heard that the stock screen leaves much to be desired :/

I have the 50cm Ermax screen. It is bigger than the standard screen and curved, but not a full touring screen, which I think look a bit overboard. You do still get some buffeting but it's fine at 70+mph. It also has the cut outs so avoids the handguards, even on full lock.

Hand guard extenders

Postby Davevince » Fri Jul 08, 2016 9:11 pm

Hiya.

Not seen these anywhere before...... Are they specific to the tracer. Or are they universal with other bikes............ Where abouts did you get them from?
