Fork oil and after market springs.

Postby PGEO » Sat Oct 28, 2017 10:40 am

Hi.
What is the best fork oil for the tracer? Has anyone change front springs?
A friend of mine uses motul oil and changed the stock springs with ohlins and says the bike drives better than ever.
I just looking for opinions.

Cheers.

I’m interested as well. Mine’s a 2017 and so far I’m finding the suspension OK though when I’m giving it some beans I can feel things starting to get a bit wobbly and weavey. My first impression is that it’s the rear shock that’s the problem, not the forks but I’m no expert. I did change the fork springs and oil in a Tiger 955 I had a few years ago and it made a noticeable difference, but not as much as when I changed the rear shock.

Well am not an xpert BUT it is beyong logic for a company to produce a bike that has stability issues. So it should be an issue of tuning and adjusting the suspension. Sure a more expensive suspension might feel better but for 90% of us stock adjusted properly should be more than ok.
